Gamer especially.

Yeah, Gamer got some flak for not really portraying anything accurate about gaming, which was supposed to be the whole point of the movie. I liked it for what it was though and didn’t really try to see it as a “video game movie”. I thought it was pretty solid as far as action movies go, and I just enjoy the directors’ style in general.

Brian Taylor actually just did an AMA on Reddit earlier today and one of the questions that was brought up was, “If you could go back and change anything in your films, what would it be?” He responded with:

“I would’ve got more into FPS gaming before making Gamer. We literally had no clue. I would write a completely different movie if I had it to do over. Also, Gerard Butler and Terry Crews should’ve switched roles.”

It was obvious enough that they hadn’t done enough research on the subject even before he admitted to it. Doesn’t really change my opinion on the film though. I still enjoyed it.
